REPUBLICANS ENDORSE ED PUGLIELLI FOR CITY COUNCILLOR
BOSTON, July 11, 2003 -- The Boston Ward Three Republican Committee, at
a meeting held Tuesday, July 8, 2003, at Caffe Pompei, in Boston's North
End, endorsed ED PUGLIELLI for Boston City Councillor in the preliminary
election to be held September 23.
"I'm thrilled that we have a strong candidate -- full of good ideas for the
city and ready and willing to work to win this race," said Committee
chairman, David Trumbull.
"Already the presence of an attractive Republican candidate has invigorated
our Republican voters in the ward," continued Trumbull.
As evidence of the support for Puglielli, Trumbull pointed to the
five new members elected to the committee at this meeting, saying, "We
increased committee membership by about a third tonight.
These people are out and active because we have a candidate to rally behind.
And each of those five new members has a network of family and friends
who will be voting for Ed Puglielli and helping build the Republican Party in Boston."
The next meeting of the ward three Republicans will be Tuesday, September 16.
